Fokyi Development Foundation is committed to promoting access to quality education for vulnerable children, especially girls, in rural communities of Rukiga District. We believe education is a powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty and building a self-reliant and empowered society.
Through our Education Support and Back-to-School Programs, we support learners from disadvantaged households by providing scholastic materials, school fees assistance, sanitary pads, footwear, and school uniforms where possible. These interventions help reduce absenteeism, prevent school dropouts, and promote retention and performance in schools.
FDF also addresses key barriers to education by promoting menstrual hygiene management, ensuring that girls remain in school with dignity and confidence. In addition, we engage parents, teachers, and communities to raise awareness about the importance of education and child protection.
Our education programs go beyond the classroom by nurturing talents, leadership, and life skills through mentorship, debates, and extracurricular activities. By investing in education, FDF is shaping a generation of informed, confident, and responsible young people who can contribute positively to their communities.

In many rural communities of Western Uganda, vulnerable and orphaned children face daily struggles that threaten their future.
